Borizteca Boxing’s Kings & Queens Set for August 29 in San Diego

Boxing is at its best when fans get to watch fighters develop from promising amateurs into seasoned professionals, all within the same ecosystem.

That pipeline has become harder to build at the local level. Regional fight cards often lack the promotional backing, business support and investment needed to turn young fighters into recognizable attractions.

Borizteca Boxing is looking to change that in San Diego.

On Saturday, August 29, Borizteca Boxing presents Kings & Queens at the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego, featuring a full card of rising prospects and competitive matchups.

Rommel Dunbar Jr. vs. Freddie Adams Heats Up at Weigh-In

Opening the night is the Und1sptd Prospect Fight of the Week, featuring Rommel Dunbar Jr. vs. Freddie Adams in a contracted 130-pound bout.

Dunbar made weight comfortably at 129.4 pounds, arriving lean, composed and ready for his return to the ring.

Adams, fighting out of Texarkana, Texas, weighed 133.8 pounds: 3.8 pounds above the contracted limit.

Tension quickly followed.

Adams was reportedly informed that he would be required to surrender 20% of his purse after missing weight. Words were exchanged between the two camps before Dunbar and Adams met for an intense final faceoff.

Now the talking is over.
