Jesus Ramos Jr. Enters San Diego as the Champion
There is a different kind of pressure that comes with entering fight week while holding a championship.
For much of his young career, Jesus Ramos Jr. was the fighter trying to move toward something. On September 19, the dynamic changes. Ramos arrives at Pechanga Arena carrying the interim WBC middleweight title and an undefeated mandatory challenger arrives intending to take it.
Ramos earned the belt in December 2025 when he defeated Shane Mosley Jr. over 12 rounds by unanimous decision. The victory moved Ramos’ career into a different category.
Now comes the responsibility of defending it.
